I ORİGİNS

I Origins is a 2014 science fiction film directed by Mike Cahill and starring Michael Pitt. Starring Michael Pitt, Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey, Brit Marling, Steven Yeun and Archie Panjabi, the movie tells the story of a few biologists in a laboratory experimenting with the human eye. A few biologist friends conduct stem cell experiments on the eye. Ian (Michael Pitt) falls in love with a woman whose eyes he has only seen and marries her. Later his wife dies and he marries his biologist friend Karen. He has a child with Karen and they put their child through an eye test. But the result they get is quite strange because the eye ID of their child is the same as the eye ID of a man who died a few years ago. They investigate the reasons for this and do some experiments. This movie, which is both philosophical and scientific, is a very successful movie, although some people do not like it.

At the beginning, the movie introduces the audience to the eye and its structure, which we think is a big factor in terms of understanding the subject more clearly and connecting the audience to the movie. While most of the movie is heavy on science fiction, some parts are heavy on drama. With both funny and sad scenes, the movie makes the audience experience multiple emotions. We think it is very impressive that it reflects both sides without opposing religion and science. We believe that you will watch this movie, whose subject matter is beyond the ordinary, breathlessly with its creative content.
